FREMONT, WI- The Waupaca County Communications Center received a 911 call regarding a one-vehicle crash involving a pedestrian on Tustin Road located in the Village of Fremont. The call came in around 11:30 p.m. on Saturday. Fremont Police arrived in less than a minute after being dispatched. Deputies from the Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office arrived shortly after.
Initial crash findings indicated the vehicle was traveling northbound on Tustin Road between the Highway 10 overpass and Lind Street. The vehicle struck a pedestrian walking along Tustin Road. Witnesses stopped to render aid and call 911. The pedestrian was transported by Fremont-Wolf River EMS and shortly thereafter flown by ThedaStar. The female driver was not injured as a result of the crash.
Names are being withheld at this time as the crash remains under investigation. Alcohol is believed to be a factor.
