Dolores Mae Sellner was born on April 22, 1933, in Milwaukee County, and was the daughter of the late Chester and Esther (Hahn) Sellner. She lived in Milwaukee and Town of Lake until age 12, she then moved to the Tigerton-Marion area, and was united in marriage to Louis J. Fournier at Zion Lutheran Church in Tigerton on Feb 17, 1951. The couple lived and farmed in the Town of Wyoming, where Dolores also worked with her husband in their assessment business. Dolores liked baking and decorating cakes for weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, and many other special occasions. Her husband preceded her on June 25, 2004.
Dolores was a member of St. Peters Lutheran Church, Ladies Aide, Foxy Ladies Red Hats, Marion Lioness, Waupaca County Homemakers, Waupaca County 4-H Leaders, and the Klick Klack Klub. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, quilting, gardening, playing cards and games, doing puzzles, spending time with family and friends, fishing and relaxing at their cottage up north.
Survivors include five daughters, Kathereen (Glenn, Jr.) Davids of Caroline, Patricia (Scott) Beck of Tigerton, Holly (David) Hilley of Tigerton, Lisa (James) Matson of Marion, and Kim (Eric) Radtke of Tigerton. There are eleven grandchildren: Brian (Katie) Davids, Carrie (Michael) Malueg, Sharie (Brad) Schultz, Nichol (Steven) Soik, Joseph Ambacher, Trina (John) Briggs, Aaron Hilley, Trisha (Michael) Hoffman, Christopher (Adrianne) Matson, Garrett Matson, and Daniel Matson. She is further survived by 20 great grandchildren; one brother, Roger (Addie) Sellner of Milwaukee; and many other relatives and friends.
Dolores was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Louis; a grandson, Eric Hilley; a sister Shirley (Harold) Schumacher; a niece, Linda Schumacher; one sister-in-law, Violet (Earl) Roloff; two brothers-in-law, Leonard (Ardis) Fournier and Norman (June) Fournier.
Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, June 26th at 3:00 PM at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Big Falls. Rev. Janice Kuder will officiate and burial will be on Monday in the Fournier Family Cemetery, Town of Wyoming. Visitation will be on Sunday from 1:00 PM until time of service at the church.
