GREEN BAY, WI- A study of gun violence in Green Bay will be presented to the city council at its Tuesday meeting. The National Institute of Criminal Justice Reform and Green Bay police report the city’s homicide rate is about half the national rate, two-point-three homicides per 100-thousand population over the last 10 years. The researchers suggested creating a gun violence reduction unit, improving intelligence gathering, implementing a gun violence reduction strategy, and increasing investment in community-based services.
