SAN DIEGO, CA- The Milwaukee Brewers opened their 11 game road trip with two runs in the top of the second inning Monday night at Petco Park, but were blanked over the next eight innings and lost in extras, 3-2 to the San Diego Padres. After the Brewers failed to plate the placed runner in the top of the tenth inning, Jose Azocar singled with one out and the bases loaded in the bottom half to give the Padres their 28th win of the season. Tyrone Taylor accounted for both runs in the second for the Brewers with a two run double. The Brewers maintained a slim lead into the 7th inning at 2-1, but a Trent Grisham bunt single brought the tying run home to set up the extra inning drama. Starter Adrian Houser allowed just a single run and struck out four over six inning. Miguel Sanchez took the loss in relief. The loss comes in game one of an 11 game road trip with the next ten games played over nine days.
