MADISON, WI- The Wisconsin Department of Transportation is warning of pavement buckling and potholes on streets and highways. So far roads have been impacted in Outagamie County and Winnebago County. DOT officials say pavement buckles when weather goes from cool to very hot quickly. Potholes can cause problems for drivers. DOT officials say drivers should slow down and focus on the roadway, watch for slowing traffic, check the 511 Travel Information system for any delays and report serious pavement issues. Road crews are usually out working when pavement buckles occur.
