SHAWANO, WI- A portion of Main Street in Shawano is closed and a detour has been put in place to allow for necessary improvements to increase pedestrian safety for the Downtown Plaza.
The detour will direct traffic down Center Street to Sawyer Street to Division Street.
One entire block of Main Street is closed with barricades, but there is still local access to the post office. The only area that is completely closed will be from the Civic Center to Division Street going north.
The closure began Monday and is scheduled for 15 days.
