State Obtains $225K Civil Judgment Against CAFO In Kewaunee County

MADISON, WI- (Wisconsin Radio Network)- The Wisconsin Department of Justice has obtained a 225-thousand dollar civil judgment against a concentrated animal feeding operation in Kewaunee County.  Johannes Walker must pay that amount for violating the state’s manure management laws.  Investigators say Wakker’s operation violated several provisions of its wastewater discharge permit between November 2017 and April 2020.  He was also accused of failing to submit a nutrient management plan to the Department of Natural Resources.
