A Kaukauna man charged in the deaths of his two young children has backed out of an apparent plea deal. Thirty-seven-year-old Matthew Beyer is now scheduled to go to trial starting on September 6th, on two counts of first-degree intentional homicide in the February 2020 deaths of five-year-old William and three-year-old Danielle Beyer. The children were stabbed to death. Beyer has admitted being at the scene but denied killing them.
