Property is now sold

A piece of property that is owned by the Shawano School District is now sold. The old Wescott Town Hall was sold for $61,000 in a blind bid process. The highest bid came in below the minimum that the district was asking for which was $70,000. That did not please board member Mart Grams who also had another concern. He said he did not want to see some out of town company come in and build more Condos that we don’t need in the area. It was reported that the winning bid was from Richard Muth. The plans for the purchase were not released. The district received a total of four bids.
