GREEN BAY, WI – Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has signed an agreement with the team that will pay him 150-million dollars over the next three years. The deal saves Green Bay more than 18-million in salary cap space as the front office works right up to Wednesday’s deadline to reach compliance while keeping the players it wants. The team still hopes to reach a deal with cornerback Rasul Douglas and extend cornerback Jaire Alexander. If it wants Rodgers to have his favorite receiver on the field this fall it’s going to have to work out something with Davante Adams. The dead money cap hit at the end of Rodgers’ new contract is said to be 75-million dollars, meaning that when he quits the team will have to rebuild.
