Brewers Add Former MVP McCutchen To OF

MILWAUKEE, WI- The Brewers have signed free-agent outfield Andrew McCutchen.  The terms of the deal haven’t been released.  The 35-year-old McCutchen had 27 home runs and 80 runs batted in with Philadelphia last season, hitting .222.  Once a standout centerfielder, his defense has declined with age but he has been very successful at the plate against left-handed pitching.  McCutchen has a .974 O-P-S against lefties over the past two seasons.  He will probably get time at D-H this year.
