Harlan J. “Huck” Peters Sr., age 59, of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at his residence.
Visitation will be from 8:00 A.M. until 6:00 P.M. on Friday, February 25, 2022 at the South Branch Community Center, W1281 East County Road M, Keshena, WI, followed by a traditional Menominee prayer service and meal at the community center.
Harlan was born July 1, 1962 in Shawano, WI to Alex and Gloria (Corn) Peters. He married Lisa Donovan on August 14, 2021 on the Wisconsin River.
Harlan worked as a forklift operator at Ocean Spray Cranberry.
He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren and attending Pow-Wows. He loved to cook and spent a lot of time doing construction projects, maintaining and upgrading his home, as well as welding projects.
Harlan is survived by his wife, Lisa Donavan-Peters; his mother, Gloria; children: Andrea, Randall (Millie), Melissa (Ruben), Harlan Jr. (Heather), Nicole (Vance), Nathaniel, Ryan, Alina, and Isaiah; grandchildren: Daniel, Aurelia, Darius, Adrianna, Carter, Mya, Jaxon, Shaniah, Meskōwesewen, and Marcel; brothers: Alex III (Olga), Joseph and Dale (Carla); sisters: Kathy and Annette (Harley); and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Alex; son, Jordan; brothers: Gus and Tony; sisters: Jeanie and Gale; and nephews: BJ, Roland, Shawn, Shane and Marcel.
