GREEN BAY, WI- (Wisconsin Radio Network) – Students at Green Bay high schools encountered stepped-up safety measures when they showed up for class Wednesday morning. New protocols were added after a student brought a handgun into Green Bay East High School and several threats were aimed at Preble High School last month. All students will have to wear their I-D during the entire school day and they will only be able to come in and go out through designated doors. They won’t be allowed to wear winter jackets or carry their backpacks inside – and all doorways will have sensors connected to a security desk.
