GREEN BAY, WI- A shooting last March on the Menominee Indian Reservation will send a 19-year-old Wisconsin man to prison for 10 years. Menom Powless-Brown of Keshena was sentenced Monday by Federal Judge William C. Griesbach in Green Bay. He had entered a guilty plea to a federal charge of an attempt to murder last September. Investigators say Powless-Brown assaulted another man by shooting him in the stomach. He’s also accused of shooting his own mother in the face. The case was investigated by the F-B-I and the Menominee Tribal Police.
