Area teams look to continue the quest to Madison with Level 2 Playoff games Friday
AREA GAME OF THE WEEK:
#3 BRILLION AT #2 WITTENBERG-BIRNAMWOOD- Broadcast on 92.3 FM
There has been no stopping the Chargers offense for quite a few weeks. Wittenberg-Birnamwood is coming off of a 54-12 win over Tomahawk in Level 1. Quarterback Ben Wesolowski threw three touchdown passes and rushed for 158 yards a score. The mobile, strong passing quarterback has been the ticket to the Chargers points. Wittenberg-Birnamwood has won five straight games, and in that time, they have outscored their opponents 237-45. If there is a defense that could put a hault to that high scoring offense, it may be Brillion. The Lions have six shutouts in 10 games and only gave up more than one touchdown in a game one time, and that was in Week 1. Brillion’s defense has forced 8 fumbles this year and has 16 interceptions on the season. Garrett Kilgas can be a quarterbacks worse nightmare with 7.5 sacks on the season and the team has brought the opposing quarterback down in the backfield 19 times this season.
