CLINTONVILLE, WI- A local manufacturing company that makes cabs for fire trucks is looking at a possible expansion to Wausau. Seagrave Fire Apparatuses wants to build an assembly plant there. Vice President of Operations Frank Sen-Dray says the company has looked at several potential sites, but Wausau checks all the boxes, including access to a large workforce base. Work is currently being done on a conditional use permit for the site. A public hearing has been held, with another scheduled for next month. There’s no timeline for project completion, but the company says the project could mean as many as 50 new jobs for the region.
