WAUPACA, WI- Law enforcement in Waupaca County are asking people for help in locating a missing man that they say is endangered.
76-year-old Robert Clinch was missing since Tuesday morning. He was last seen in front of the Whistling Pines Group home on County QQ in Waupaca around 9:30 a.m.
According to officials, Clinch went outside to smoke and had a duffle bag with him and also informed somebody that he was planning on going to New Mexico. Police say Clinch had alcohol-induced dementia and sometimes gets confused. Someone close to Clinch told police that they think he may have gotten a ride to the Baraboo area.
Police say this is not the first time that Clinch has traveled far away from home before eventually being found.
Clinch is American Indian, 5’7″, 180 pounds with brown eyes and long silver color hair. Police say he goes by the name “Chief”.
