COLEMAN, WI- Cougar Shell District Manager, Don Webb, holds a sign that says it all, a $1 million winning ticket sold here! On September 24, 2021, a Coleman man claimed a $1 million top prize from the Ultimate Millions scratch game after purchasing his winning ticket from the Cougar Shell on Sunset Ave, in Coleman.
According to Wisconsin-demographics.com and based on recent United States Census Bureau data, Coleman’s population is 726, ranking as the 430th most populated city in Wisconsin. After learning of the million-dollar winner, owner Kurt Boulanger, happily said, “I’m glad it was a local person in our small community that won.”
Boulanger and his wife Vickie are the owners and operators of five locations where Wisconsin Lottery tickets are available. He said the $1 million Ultimate Millions scratch game ticket is the largest winning ticket he’s ever sold. Cougar Shell will receive $20,000 as part of the Retailer Performance Program Winning Ticket Incentive for selling the winning ticket.
The Ultimate Millions game started on August 27, 2021, offering more than 95,000 prizes ranging from $30 to $1 million. The odds of winning one of the two top prizes are 1 in 160,000.
