MILWAUKEE, WI (Wisconsin Radio Network) – The Cincinnati Reds managed to avoid a sweep by beating Milwaukee at American Family Field Thursday 5-1. Cincinnati got a three-run homer from Rookie of the Year favorite Jonathan India, then slugger Nick Castellanos added a solo shot. Starter Sonny Gray held the Brewers scoreless over six innings, giving up just three hits. Luis Urias slammed his 17th home run of the season for the only Milwaukee run. Despite the loss, the Brewers are 25-and-11 since the All-Star break and they have an eight-and-a-half-game lead in the standings. They start a weekend series at Minnesota Friday at 7:10 p-m with lefty Eric Lauer getting the start.
