
Sader C. Breitenfeldt, age 93, of Tigerton passed away Tuesday, August 24, 2021, at Homme Home Assisted Living of Wittenberg.
Sader Carlton Breitenfeldt was born on August 6, 1928, in the Town of Grant, Shawano County, to John and Laura (Doede) Breitenfeldt. He grew up in the Tigerton area and graduated from Bowler High School. Sader and his brother Gary entered the US Air Force together. They served in the same unit Stateside and in England during the Korean Conflict from 1950-1954. While in the military, he specialized in maintaining aircraft electronics. After the service, he worked for short time at a TV and Electronics repair shop in Marion. On October 19, 1957, Sader was united in marriage to Eleanor V. Evenson at Ascension Lutheran Church, Navarino, and the couple made their home in Tigerton. In the late 1950’s, he started “Breitenfeldt’s TV” out of his home workshop and repaired all sorts of electronic devices for over 40 years. Sader spent much of his working life doing TV repair house calls and got to know everyone in the area. His wife preceded him in death on April 29, 2001.
Sader was a longtime member of Zion Lutheran Church, Tigerton. He was athletic and in his high school days played basketball and baseball. Sader enjoyed baseball his entire life, whether he was at the game, watching it on television, or listening to it on the radio. He also liked the outdoors; spending time hunting and fishing, selling his Christmas trees, and making maple syrup. Sader would often be seen at local sporting events or activities, especially around town with his scooter!
Survivors include four children: Karen (David) Peck of Appleton, Wayne (Cheryl) Breitenfeldt of Eagle River, Gene Breitenfeldt of Appleton, and Dean Breitenfeldt of Waukesha. There are two grandchildren, Nicole (Chris) Paukner and Nathan Breitenfeldt; and two great grandsons, Sam and Nolan Paukner. There are two brothers-in-law, Vernon Evenson and Donald (Jane) Evenson. He is further survived by many other relatives and friends.
Sader was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Eleanor; one sister, Lola (Glenn) Curtis; and two brothers, Hilmer and Gary Breitenfeldt.
Funeral Service will be held on Monday, August 30th at 11:00 AM at Zion Lutheran Church, Tigerton. Rev. Dennis Nelson will officiate and burial will follow at Union Cemetery, Tigerton. Military Honors will be provided at the cemetery by members of the American Legion Post 239 of Tigerton. Visitation will be on Monday from 10:00 AM until time of service at the church.
