Jeanne N. Childs, 89, of Shawano, entered her heavenly home on Wednesday, August 4, 2021. She was born on July 31, 1932 in Bowler, WI to the late Raymond and Leona (Wolter) Malueg. On July 31, 1954, she was united in marriage to Donald Childs at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Bowler. Jeanne was a member of St. James Lutheran Church, Shawano for nearly seventy years. She participated in various activities, especially Tabitha for over thirty years. She also enjoyed bowling, golf, walking, and tending to her many flowers and plants during the summer time. Jeanne loved her family dearly and enjoyed family gatherings and holiday events
Survivors include three sons, Kurt (Ona) Childs of West Salem, WI, Mark Childs of Shawano, WI, and Kris Childs of Richfield, WI.; five grandchildren, Abby (Eric), Jessica (Kevin), Jameson (Danette), Allison, Andrew, five great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
We acknowledge our close friends, Diana Dennee and Maria Rickert, for their ongoing love and support.
Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents and husband Donald, her sister Rosalie, and her brother Lloyd.
Private family services will be held in the future. The family would like to thank the staff of ThedaCare At Home and Evergreen Health Services for their wonderful care of Jeanne. We also would like to thank Pastor Roy Rinehard for visiting mother and providing communion monthly for many years.
