
Edwin John Greenwald, age 81 of Cecil, passed away on Sunday, October 25, 2020. Edwin was born on October 18, 1939, in Wauwatosa. Following graduation from high school Edwin proudly went on to serve his country in the United States Army for 27 years. While serving as a combat engineer for his country he was stationed in Korea, Germany and Vietnam. After retiring from the military, he went on to work in security. Edwin took pride in his yard and enjoyed working on small projects. He was funny, a great joke teller, and a prankster. Edwin was a warm hearted and wonderful man who loved his family dearly. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Edwin is survived by his sister Elsie Stalker, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is further survived by his close friend Joanne Krueger; her children, Dean (Debbie) Krueger, Brad (Missy) Krueger; Joanne’s granddaughters Layla (Jeromy) Janssen, Merissa (Sheldon) Cannon; and Joanne’s great grandchildren, Lily, Jordann, Dakota, Robert and Trenton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Stella (Inman) Tronnier, and siblings, Kenneth Tronnier, John Tronnier Jr., Richard Tronnier, Nettie Kryll, and Joyce Fakler.
Memorial service will be held Saturday, July 10, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano with the Rev. Mark Drangler officiating. Burial in Woodland Cemetery with Military Rites by the Shawano American Legion Post #117. Visitation will be starting at 10:00 a.m. till the time of service.
