TOWN OF SENECA, WI- The Shawano County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a death of a child. The call came in on Friday at 8:23 pm for a possible drowning at Annie’s Campground in Shawano County.
Crews on scene found a 5-year-old who was unresponsive in a swimming area of the campground.
Citizens and deputies performed CPR until emergency medical services arrived on scene. The child was taken by ambulance to the hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
Tigerton Ambulance Service and Shawano Ambulance service assisted on scene along with several private citizens.
This incident is under investigation and no further information will be released at this time.
