CRANDON, WI- The Coleman Cougars earned a pair of wins on Tuesday and captured the Division 3 Sectional Championship.
Coleman scored a pair of runs in the fifth inning and scored the go-ahead run in the sixth inning to advance to the WIAA State Tournament with a 3-2 win over Chilton.
In the Sectional Final, Karson Capper had two hits and Cayden Bintz drove in a pair of runs.
Bintz and Ray Lemieux combined for the pitching win.
Earlier in the day, Coleman topped Amherst 3-1. Chilton made it to the Championship game with a 3-2 win over Mishicot.

SECTIONAL FINAL: DENMARK 3, RHINELANDER 1
The Denmark Vikings will represent the Northeastern Conference at State after topping Rhinelander 3-1 in the Sectional Finals.
Lack of Seymour hitting and superior pitching by Rhinelander’s ace pitcher resulted in the season-ending loss for the Thunder in the Semifinals. Seymour fell to Rhinelander 6-1.
Rhinelander jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the second inning. Seymour scored their only run in the third inning after Mason Dorn drove in Will DeBruin. The Hodags tacked on four runs in the fourth inning to pull away.
DeBruin was the only player for Seymour to have more than one hit. Rhinelander’s Bixby held the Thunder to four hits.
Brett Tetzlaff took the loss for Seymour.
Denmark topped Winneconne 11-1.

SECTIONAL FINAL: ROSHOLT 3, JOHNSON CREEK 1
Rosholt makes their return to the WIAA State Baseball Tournament with a win over Johnson Creek.
The Hornets topped Shiocton 10-4 in the Sectional Semifinal.
Rosholt took an early 4-1 lead and added to their lead in the fourth inning to lead 8-1.
The Chiefs were never able to get anything going at the plate.
