
Virginia “Ginny” Malueg, age 86 years, of Green Bay passed away Friday, May 28, 2021 at Allouez Parkside Village – Assisted Living in Green Bay.
The former Virginia Mae Blaese was born on November 27, 1934 in Appleton to Henry and Frances (Eichinger) Blaese. She graduated from Marion High School in 1954. Virginia was united in marriage on March 24, 1956 to David F. Malueg in North Carolina. The couple began dairy farming in the Shawano area until 1960 and then moved to Ogema, Price County, and continued farming until 1964. Ginny and Dave moved to the Fox Valley area residing in Kimberly and Darboy for some years. After her husband retired, the couple lived in Black Creek and then in 2011 settled in Green Bay.
Ginny had a deep faith and was a proud member of Our Saviour Lutheran Church in Green Bay. She always loved horses, creating beautiful oil paintings of outdoor scenes; and playing cards, especially sheepshead or cribbage. Her home was always open on Sunday afternoons for family get togethers, competitive card playing, and to share in a wonderful meal. Her husband of 59 years preceded her in death on August 31, 2015.
Survivors include four children: Mike (Nancy) Malueg of Townsend, Dan (Sue) Malueg of New London, Sue (Frank) Gracer of De Pere, and Ken (Cheryl) Malueg of Fremont. There are 9 grandchildren: Wayne (Jenny) Malueg, Matt Malueg, James (Gina) Malueg, Jason (friend Candace Dyer) Malueg, Cera Malueg, Anna Malueg, Christopher Gracer, Jonathan (Jennie) Gracer, and Angela (fiancé Jason Masuga) Malueg. There are 9 great grandchildren: Evan Malueg, Allison Malueg, David Malueg, Rebekah Malueg, Nataleigh Malueg, Summer Randall, Mason Gracer, Zoey Gracer, and Hazel Gracer. She is further survived by one sister, Shirley (Dewey) Stroessenreuther; three sisters-in-law, Judy Blaese, Judy Rutten, and Sylvia Malueg; one brother-in-law, Robert Malueg; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Ginny was preceded in death by her parents; her husband David; a grandson Mark Malueg; three brothers, Don, Roger, and Gerry Blaese; two sisters-in-law, Janet Murdock and Janice Marian; and four brothers-in-law, Eugene, Bernard, Jerry Malueg, and Larry Murdock.
Memorial Service will be held on Monday, June 7th at 11:00 AM at Beil-Didier Funeral Home, 299 S. Main St., Clintonville. Rev. David H. Hatch will officiate and inurnment will be at Greenleaf Cemetery, Marion. Visitation will be on Monday from 10:00 AM until time of service at the funeral home.
