Shawano County Campground Owner In Trouble With The Law Again

SHAWANO, WI- A Shawano County campground owner is on the wrong side of the law once again after being arrested for leading police on a pursuit and resisting an officer while claiming she was a sovereign citizen and didn’t have to get out of her vehicle.  52-year-old Ann Retzlaff of Annie’s Campground in Gresham was ticketed last year for posing as a sheriff’s deputy, then her campground was cited for ignoring health protocols aimed at slowing the spread of COVID-19. According to the police report, Retzlaff claimed she was rescuing an employee from sex traffickers and that was why she refused to stop.  She has a hearing scheduled for August 13^th.
