GREEN BAY, WI -The Oneida Casino complex in Ashwaubenon is set to reopen Thursday morning.
The complex has been closed since Saturday night to allow for an investigation of the shooting that took place there.
Deputies have learned, that Bruce Pofahl, a former employee, walked into the Duck Creek Kitchen and Bar and shot three people, killing Jacob Bartel and Ian J Simpson and injuring Daniel Mulligan. Pofahl was shot and killed by responding law enforcement. The state Division of Criminal Investigation is handling the investigation into the shooting of Pofahl.
Police learned that Pofahl had a gun, despite being under a restraining order. Court records show a permanent order was issued in March, with an employee at the restaurant where 62-year-old Bruce Pofahl was fired. But a court commissioner did not find “clear and convincing evidence” that Pofahl would use a gun to harm anyone.
An employee at the Duck Creek Kitchen and Bar said Pofahl sent her threatening text messages and e-mails, including pictures of her home and threats on her family.
