
Patricia “Pat” Ganster, age 82, of Clintonville passed away Friday, March 26, 2021 at Care Partners Assisted Living, Clintonville.
The former Patricia Ruth Miller was born on July 7, 1938 in Milwaukee to Arland and Ruth (Gallert) Miller. She grew up in the West Allis area and graduated from West Allis Central High School in 1953. From the age of 12 until she was married, Pat worked at a bakery in West Allis. She was united in marriage on April 30, 1954 to Marvin J. Ganster at Good Shepherd’s Lutheran Church, West Allis, and the couple were blessed with four children. After marriage she was employed for a short time as a secretary in the shipyard in Milwaukee. Then she cooked or waitressed for many years at various restaurants around the Milwaukee area. Pat also enjoyed working at the local flower shop in West Allis for some time.
Pat is a former member of Star of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, New Berlin, where she served as President of the Ladies Aide and had taught Sunday School. The couple moved to Deltona, Florida, in the mid 1980’s and became members of Good Shepherd Evangelical Lutheran Church. Her husband, Marvin, preceded her in death on February 12, 1992; and she returned to Wisconsin settling in Clintonville in 2000.
Pat is currently a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Clintonville. She liked cooking, baking, and was an avid reader. Pat loved entertaining relatives and having family get togethers almost every weekend possible. She will be remembered most as a very generous lady who was always helping others.
Survivors include three children; Tom (Dawn) Ganster of Tigerton, Peggy Ganster of Eagle, and Maribeth Crawford of Wisconsin Rapids; and one daughter-in-law, Audrey Ganster of Deltona, FL. There are 15 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. There are four sisters: Bette Jane Branda of Cedar Grove, Suzanne Aumend of New Berlin, Marnay (Norbert) Schultz of Marshfield, and Shelby Perkins of Cedarburg. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Marvin; a son Jeff Ganster; son-in-law Jerry Crawford; infant grandson Eric; a brother Robert (Sandra) Miller; and three brothers-in-law, Anthony Branda, David Aumend and Dan Perkins.
Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, April 1st at 11:00 AM at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Clintonville, with Rev. Marcus Schulz officiating. Visitation will be on Thursday from 10:00 AM until time of service at the church. Beil-Didier Funeral Home, Clintonville, is assisting with the arrangements.
