SHAWANO, WI- A Shawano County Man could be deported after being convicted of two sexual assault of a child charges. 21-year-old Habil Bravo Perez of Birnamwood entered a no contest plea to the charges. According to criminal complaint, Bravo Perez paid a 15-year-old girl for sex. A second girl said she had a relationship with Bravo Perez when she was 14 and that relationship turned physically abusive. A third girl reported multiple sexual encounters with Perez when she was 12.
“I want what the victims want, and in this case, I think they want justice,” said Shawano County Sheriff Adam Bieber.
The U.S Immigration and Customs Enforcement service filed a detainer against Bravo Perez, meaning he could face deportation to Mexico after serving his sentence.
“I fully want them out of this country if they are not abiding by our laws, especially if they are harming people. People cross over all the time and just because folks get sent back does not mean they can’t get back over here,” Bieber added.
Bravo-PerezCould is scheduled for sentencing on June 1.
