SHAWANO, WI-Law enforcement in Shawano County say they have been seeing thefts of catalectic converters on the rise in Northeast Wisconsin. Thieves can steal the devices in a matter of minutes are they are commonly sold as scrap metal for hundreds of dollars. Officers say people should report thefts right away and be on the lookout for any suspicious activity. Getting a description of the person or vehicle or the license plate number can also be helpful. Officers say getting any kind of photo is also helpful.
