(Wisconsin Radio Network)- The Wisconsin Department of Justice is investigating a shooting involving an Oneida Tribal Police Department officer early Sunday morning. Dispatchers reported they had watched a man drive into the department’s parking lot at about 1:30 a-m. They called, requesting the officer to return to the headquarters because the man was acting erratically. When the officer arrived the two exchanged gunfire and the suspect was hit. The tribal police say he is being treated for serious injuries. No names have been released. The officer wasn’t injured.
