
Raymond “Ray” Dudzik, age 84, of Tigerton passed away Wednesday morning, January 27, 2021 at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center – Neenah.
Raymond Anton Dudzik was born on July 16, 1936 in the Town of Germania, Shawano County, to Anton and Anastasia (Yach) Dudzik. He grew up in the Town of Germania and attended Blue Goose School. Ray entered the U.S. Army and served from 1956-1958 mostly stateside at bases in New York and New Mexico. He was united in marriage on November 14, 1959 to Rosalie “Rosy” Weller at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Galloway. In his early days, Ray helped out on the family dairy farm and worked for several other neighboring farms. He also was employed for a short time at FWD Corporation in Clintonville. Then Ray started at Tigerton Lumber Company; and after 38 years primarily as head sawyer he retired in 1998. After retiring, he served as custodian at St. Anthony’s parish and as caretaker of Tiger Apartments for many years.
Ray’s wife preceded him in death on November 17, 2008. He was married again on November 5, 2011 to Mary Ann Redmerski at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Tigerton. Ray was a longtime member of St. Anthony’s parish where he actively served as an usher and as custodian. He was an avid gardener and always provided fresh produce every year for his family and friends. Ray especially loved deer hunting and collecting or trading guns.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann; three children, Steven (fiancée Melissa Tyler) Dudzik of Rosholt, Francine (Fred) Loeffler of Birnamwood, and Bruce Dudzik of Tigerton; and a daughter-in-law, Linda Dudzik of Marion. There are nine grandchildren: Jacob Dudzik, Nicole (Anthony) Lane, Joshua Dudzik, Brook Rubio, Kilauni Costante-Tyler, Samantha Senoracki, Kayla Dudzik, Ben Dudzik, and Pennelopie Dudzik; and eight great grandchildren. He is further survived by a sister, Shirley Landowski of Wausau; numerous nieces and nephews; several stepchildren and step grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Rosalie “Rosy”; a son Brian Dudzik; granddaughter Sarah Dudzik; grandson Aaron Dudzik; and son-in-law Ronald Senoracki. He was further preceded by two infant sisters and a sister Phyllis (Harold) Mauritz.
Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, January 30th at 11:00 AM at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Tigerton. Fr. Matthew Settle will officiate and inurnment will be at Union Cemetery, Tigerton. Military Honors will be provided by members of the American Legion Post #239 – Tigerton. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 10:00 AM until time of service at the church.
