GREEN BAY, WI – (Wisconsin Radio Network) – Green Bay police say the bank robber they were looking for was standing in a hotel lobby waiting for a ride Thursday morning. The suspect had presented a note to a teller demanding money at the Chase Bank location across the street from Green Bay Police Headquarters. When they tracked the man down he was standing in the lobby of the Quality Inn and Suites, about a block away. He was found to be carrying more than 20-thousand dollars. Police say they don’t think the robber realized he was so close to the police station. He’s being held on bank robbery charges in the Brown County Jail. His name hasn’t been released.
