
Robert J. “Bob” Greub, age 90 of Shawano, passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, December 13, 2020 at his home.
Bob was born June 5, 1930 in Shawano, a son of the late John and Ella (Kroenke) Greub. He attended school in Shawano, then went to work as a lead man in the machine shop at Ampco Metal in Milwaukee. On October 18, 1952 Bob was united in marriage to Audrey Schoneck at St. Martin Lutheran Church in Clintonville. Following their marriage, the couple lived in Milwaukee where they raised their family. Bob retired from Ampco Metal in 1992, having worked there for 42 years. When Audrey retired, the couple moved to Shawano.
Bob is a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Shawano. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, and woodworking. He was a proud member of the NRA. Bob was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather and enjoyed spending time with his family.
Survivors include his loving wife of 68 years, Audrey, of Shawano; his children, Barbara (Bill) Bunker of Shawano, Ricky (Chrissy) Greub of Dollar Bay, MI, and Nancy (David) Brandt of Lakeland, FL; his grandchildren, Rebecca Brandt, Michael (Laura) Brandt, Matthew (Heather) Brandt, John Brandt, Kaylynn Brandt, Luke Brandt, Ricky Greub, Jr. and Anne Greub; one great-granddaughter, Audrey J. Brandt; two nieces, Jane (John) Losee and Gail Schefchick, and his nephew, Dan Trawicki; and several other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother, Raymond Greub, and his sister, Mary Trawicki.
A memorial service for Robert J. Greub will be held on Monday, December 21, 2020 at 11:30 AM at Mickelson Funeral Service in Shawano. Pastor Steve Schauder will officiate. Visitation will begin at the funeral home at 10:30 and continue until the time of service. In lieu of flowers and plants, memorials are preferred to the St. James radio broadcast in Bob’s name.
Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the family requests masks be worn while in attendance and social distancing will be enforced.
