LOS ANGELES, CA – (Wisconsin Radio Network) – Clayton Kershaw pitched a gem, leading the Dodgers to a 3-0 win over Milwaukee, ending the Brewers season early Friday morning.
The gives the Dodgers a 2-0 sweep over Milwaukee and sends them to the Divisional round.
Kershaw had 13 strikeouts in 8 innings, which matched his postseason high.
The Brewers Luis Urias was not able to turn a double play that eventually led to the Dodgers scoring all three of their runs.
“We just didn’t make the play and it ended up costing us because they are a good team,” Brewers manager Craig Counsell said.
It is believed that the game would be the last for Brewer outfielder Ryan Braun. Teammate Christian Yellich says if it is it for Braun, he will be missed.
Counsell said playoffs in Milwaukee are starting to become a standard.
