Rose Mary “Rosie” Rindt, age 83 of Appleton, passed away on Monday, July 13, 2020 at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center-Appleton with her loving family by her side.
Rosie was born on April 5, 1937 in Shawano to the late Albert and Effie (Hammond) Rindt. She attended Beyer School and St. James Lutheran School before graduating from Shawano High School. She worked at Aid Association for Lutherans (Thrivent) for 44 years until her retirement. Rosie enjoyed a good joke, fishing off the dock, and spending time up north. Over the years she was on many golf and bowling leagues. She loved shopping and finding a great deal.
When Rosie was younger she adored dancing and was a great polka dancer. She also enjoyed traveling. In the early 1970’s she took the trip of a lifetime and traveled to London, Germany, Switzerland, and Holland. Rosie also had the opportunity to visit the pyramids in Mexico. She liked going to the casino and playing the slot machines. Rosie loved her home in Appleton on Schaefer Street; it was her pride and joy. She also loved spending time with her family. Rosie was known for bringing the fun snacks, such as orange slices, spice drops, and maple nut candies, to birthday parties and family events.
Left to cherish her memory are her sister, Beatrice (James) Klevesahl, of Shawano; her sister-in-law, Mavis Rindt, of Shawano; her brother-in-law, Travis Lubinski, of Shawano; nieces and nephews, Mike (Patty) Rindt, Steve (Mic) Vomastic, Connie (Dean) Spychalski, Jennifer (Dale) Zimmerman, Laurie (Kirk) Sterzinger, and Linda Klevesahl; and many great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Bernice (Larry) Vomastic and Joann Lubinski; and her brother, Norman Rindt.
A private funeral service will be held for Rosie, with entombment in Appleton Highland Memorial Park.
