Update: TOWN OF HARTLAND: Shawano County Sheriff’s Department has released more details of what is believed to be accidental drowning in the Town of Hartland on Wednesday morning.
Sheriff Officials were dispatched to Happy Lane after a child was reported to be running around naked and unsupervised. It was determined that the boy was 9-years-old and autistic. The boy was located and turned over to deputies.
Hours later a suspicious vehicle was reported at the property and a 33-year-old Appleton woman was located deceased in a pond.
The investigation determined that the woman was the boy’s mother.
The incident remains under investigation.
BONDUEL, WI – Shawano County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a suspicious incident that took place Wednesday afternoon near Bonduel.
Sheriff Officials were called out to the area for a juvenile incident. Deputies located the young male juvenile and took him into protective custody.
During the investigation, the Shawano County Dive Team was called out to the scene and the body of a deceased woman was located in a body of water.
The cause of death is unknown. The incident is under investigation.
Shawano County Human Services is also involved in the process of the investigation.
