MENOMINEE COUNTY, WI – Emergency personnel responded to a fire on Camp 18 road Sunday evening.
Crews were able to contain the blaze and during the investigation, an exploded firework was found near the suspected origin zone of the fire.
Investigators say it appears to be dirt that was shoveled and thrown into the burn area.
They say that was likely an attempt to smother the flames.
