KESHENA, WI – The Menominee Tribe of Wisconsin has put in place a reservation-wide curfew.
Those who are away from their homes between the hours of 10:00 PM and 6:00 AM would be considered trespassing and could be cited with a $500.00 fine. The curfew supplements the existing limitation on gatherings of 10 or more people established under the self-isolation order.
People will still be allowed to travel for legitimate business purposes or for reasons of safety. Those who need to travel during curfew hours should provide prior notice of their hours of travel and the reason for travel to the Tribe.
The Stockbridge-Munsee Tribal Council also put a curfew in place with similar restrictions.
