PULASKI, WI – Pulaski Polka Days is canceled due to Coronavirus concerns.
Organizer Harold Otto said they made the decision on Thursday evening and shared the news on Friday.
“I just called all the bands and called all my friends to get the word out because we don’t want anything to happen to anybody.”
Otto has been running Pulaski Polka Days for 42 years and says nothing like this has ever happened before.
He says of the people he talked to, they were disappointed.
“They all understand and others are having the same problem too.
Otto says even though the event is a long way away, with the number of people involved and the number of people they bring in, it forced them to think safety.
“We have a lot of people that come from all over the United State and we have people come from Canada, England and Poland and we want to protect everybody.”
He says they will start working on plans for 2021.
Listen to Harold Otto explain the tough decision.
