OCONTO, WI – An Oconto Falls man will stand trial for allegedly causing injury to his three-month old daughter earlier this year.
24-year-old Vincent Enneper is facing four charges for incidents connected to child abuse.
The criminal complaint states the child was brought to Children’s Wisconsin in Wauwatosa with significant head trauma including skull fractures and a brain bleed.
According to Enneper, he was home with the girl when she fell on her head on the hardwood floor.
Medical officials say the injuries are inconsistent with that explanation, comparing the injury to that of the force of a baby being ejected from a car traveling at 60 miles per hour.
Doctors say the child will likely have lifelong effects from the trauma suffered.
It’s not Enneper’s first run in with the law. In 2012 he was convicted of setting fire to St. Anthony’s School in Oconto Falls and served prison time as a teenager
