SHAWANO- Business owner and active community member Al Heins died Wednesday at the age of 83. Heins served over two years in the US Army before his honorable discharge in 1957 and eventually started Heins Appliance in 1977.
Heins was a former school board member, a volunteer for the fire department, a member of the N.R.A, Shawano Fish and Game Club and the Navarino Nature Center.
He was also a life member of the Shawano VFW Post #2723.
Services for Heins will be on Monday at 11:00 at Hope Community Church in Shawano.
Visitation will take place Sunday from 4:00 to 7:00 and on Monday beginning at 9:30 at Hope Community Church.
