TOWN OF DAYTON, WI – The Waupaca County Sheriff’s Department responded to a single vehicle traffic crash that injured two people Thursday afternoon.
Crews were called out to Crystal Lake Road after a vehicle left the roadway, entered a ditch and hit a tree.
The initial investigation shows the vehicle attempted to overtake another vehicle when the driver, a 53-year-old Waupaca man lost control.
The passenger in the vehicle was a 43-year-old Waupaca woman.
Due to weather, the medical helicopter could not fly, so the two had to be transported a Fox Valley hospital by ambulance.
The incident remains under investigation.
