CLINTONVILLE, WI – Clintonville Mayor Richard Beggs is closing out 2019 with thoughts on his future.
He says the city is in good hands and says for that reason he will put his name back on the ballot for the next Mayoral election.
“I like being the Mayor and I have a little over seven years of experience doing it, but if I run again, that would probably be the last trip.”
Beggs made his announcement prior to end the calendar year.
“As far as I know the only prior long-term server was eight years, so, if I get to ten that would be alright.”
He also followed that up by saying that he is happy with the members that currently sit on the City Council and hopes voters consider keeping everyone in place.
“It is working well now and I would like it to stay that way.”
He says he is pleased with the work that the current city council members are doing and that should be rewarded come election day.
