On Friday, November 15, 2019 at approximately 11:02 PM, the Oconto County Sheriff’s Office
Emergency Dispatch Center was notified of a two vehicle accident on State Highway 22 at
Logtown Road in the Town of Oconto.
A pickup truck operated by a 30-year-old male from the Lena area was traveling west bound on
State Highway 22 towing a skidsteer on a trailer which was negotiating a corner when the pickup
truck crossed over and struck an east bound passenger car driven by a 53-year-old female from
the Oconto area. The 53-year-old female died at the scene and the 30-year-old male was
transported to a local hospital for treatment of injuries he received due to the crash.
An ongoing investigation is being conducted by the Oconto County Sheriff’s Office, Wisconsin
State Patrol and the Brown County Medical Examiner’s Office. The Oconto County Sheriff’s
Office was assisted by the Oconto Police Department, Oconto Fire Department, Oconto County
Highway Department, Wisconsin State Patrol and the Brown County Medical Examiner’s Office.
