A Madison man is expected to be released from the hospital tomorrow thanks to the quick thinking of family and an off-duty fire chief who saved his life. Fire officials say a neighbor knocked on the door of Chief Steven Davis on Saturday night saying his son-in-law wasn’t breathing and his wife had started chest compressions. Davis grabbed his portable A-E-D and used that to get the patient breathing again. A second shock was needed to re-establish a pulse.
