
God looked down and saw the pain you were suffering and called you to his home in Heaven.
Tammy Lynn Stachowiak, age 58, died peacefully at home on November 1, 2019, surrounded by her family, after a difficult battle with cancer. Tammy was born in Shawano, on February 18, 1961 to Garwood Bahr and to the late Judith Ann (Gregerson) Bahr. In 1962, she was blessed with a little sister Kim, in 1963, another sister Sherri, and again in 1973, Michelle. They had a wonderful life growing up together. She was a graduate of Shawano High School and was an owner/operator of The Lighthouse in Shawano. She was united in marriage to Jeff Stachowiak on September 8, 2001 at Zion Lutheran Church. Tammy enjoyed camping and being outdoors, so much so that she could often be found just down the road. She loved traveling with Jeff, delighted in spending time with her family, and lived for her grandchildren. Tammy had a huge heart and enjoyed giving back to the community, especially to children in need.
Tammy is survived by: her husband, Jeff; her sons, Shannon Behnke, Shane (Jennifer) Behnke, Shawn (fiance Helena) Behnke, and Shadwell (Brittany) Behnke all of Shawano; her father, Garwood Bahr; her grandchildren, Makayla, Braden, Gracelyn, Eliza, Bexley, Audrina, and Revin; her siblings, Sherri (special friend Paul) Runge; special niece and nephews, Brittany, Bryce, and Leo; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Gordy and JoAnn Ziebart, and their children, Douglas and Brian Ziebart; her special pet Buddy; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in death by: her mother Judith; her sisters, Kim Johnson and Michelle Pierce.
A memorial service for Tammy will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Shawano with Rev. Scott Ludford officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 8:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Swedberg Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
