
Ann C. Krueger, age 86, of Marion passed away Friday, October 18, 2019 at Greentree Health & Rehabilitation Center, Clintonville.
The former Ann Cecelia Dieck was born on January 20, 1933 in the Town of Dupont, Waupaca County. As the daughter of Leonard and Marcella (Mavis) Dieck, she learned to hunt, fish, pick berries and live with courage. She graduated from Marion High School, and on September 2, 1951 she married Orvil R. Krueger of Marion. Together, they raised 3 children and were married 68 years. Ann was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Clintonville. She was Baptized on August 27, 1955.
Through the years, Ann worked at various jobs including the glove factory, canning factory, farming; she was the bookkeeper for Caroline Implement 14 years and later on, as the bookkeeper for her husband’s business, The Building Doctor. Ann was the first woman bus driver for the Marion School District. Her no-nonsense attitude earned the respect of her passengers. She was a past member of the Marion Homemakers, bowled couples, was a collector, enjoyed birds, flowers, wildlife and mostly little children. She made each of them feel they were her favorite. Although she grew up with little, Ann was generous to others. She was known for her quick wit and sassy humor, even when she didn’t feel well. Her smile always made you wonder what she was up to.
Ann is survived by her husband, Orvil; and three children, Beverly (Tom) Krueger, Shirley (Mike) Tischauser, and David (Jayme) Krueger. There are 12 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She is further survived by a sister Marcella Bodoh; a nephew James Bodoh; and the Kruegers.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents, granddaughter Mindy, and great grandson Aydan. She was also preceded by her brother-in-law Jerry Bodoh; a niece Ann Marie Blough; a nephew Mark Bodoh; her father and mother-in-law AC and Hertha Krueger; as well as other Krueger family.
Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 26th at 11:00 AM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Clintonville. Dan Shira will officiate and burial will be at Roseland Cemetery, Town of Dupont. Visitation will be held on Friday from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at Beil-Didier Funeral Home, Clintonville, and on Saturday from 10:00 AM until time of service at the Kingdom Hall. Memorial donations are preferred to the Krueger Family in Ann’s memory.
