On Wednesday, October 09, 2019 at approximately 5:53 AM, the Oconto County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Dispatch Center was notified of a one vehicle accident on CTH M east of Neta Lane in the Town of Spruce.
When deputies arrived on scene they located a lone vehicle overturned in the north ditch. The vehicle had been traveling east on CTH M prior to leaving the road and overturning in the ditch. A 34 year old male vehicle occupant from the Oconto Falls area was ejected from the vehicle and died on scene. A 31 year old female vehicle occupant from the Oconto Falls area was transported to a hospital in Green Bay by the Oconto Falls Ambulance for treatment of her injuries.
The Oconto County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Lena Fire Department and the Oconto Falls Ambulance Service. An ongoing investigation is being conducted by the Oconto County Sheriff’s Office, Wisconsin State Patrol and the Brown County Medical Examiner’s Office.
