When 89-year-old Ruby Bergold died, her daughter didn’t report the death — so she could continue collecting her social security checks and dividends. Fifty-nine-year-old Paula Ann Bergold was charged with hiding a corpse, failure to report death and obstructing an officer Monday in Marinette County Circuit Court. The dead woman was found in a tub in the basement. It isn’t clear when the mother died, but a friend said she hadn’t seen her since May.
